Christmas Card: It’s The Thought That Counts
Chucky Anderson
Christmas time is a time for giving. Some people just don’t have the money to spend on gifts for everyone in their lives. For this reason, many are opting to give Christmas cards instead of gifts. It saves money while showing that you still care. Christmas is about giving, after all, not how much money you spend. It is the thought that counts, not the price tag of the gift you give. More Expensive Is Not Necessarily Better When shopping for a Christmas card, it is not necessary to buy the most expensive kind for everyone in your lives. This is a trap that many people buy into. They think that because they are just giving a card, they need to spend a lot of money on that card. This is simply not true. It is, after all, the thought that counts. If you have many people to buy for and you are short on cash, a box of generic cards is perfect. Simply write a personalized note inside each one, if you wish. That way, no two cards are the same and the person receiving the card gets much more out of it than if you were to buy an expensive Christmas card with no note at all. Do-It-Yourself Cards Many people don’t buy Christmas cards at home but simply make them on their own personal computers. There are many variations in software that make it easy to design your own Christmas cards. You can even put a picture of you and your family on each one. You can put a funny picture, a picture of your pet, or whatever else you want to put on them. The choice is completely up to you. With do-it-yourself cards, it’s often less expensive to print several as opposed to buying them at the store. The only costs you incur are ink and paper costs, which come out to much less when compared to the inflated prices of Christmas cards these days. Christmas cards are great, and inexpensive, gifts to give the ones in your life that you just don’t have the money to give real gifts to. Christmas cards can be personalized to give them that extra special something that make them a perfect gift for someone in your life. So, next year, give a Christmas card to those you love, either in place of a gift or along with one, and let those you love know how exactly how you feel.
