Artificial Christmas Tree: Better Than A Real Tree?

Chucky Anderson

An artificial Christmas tree is a great way to save money in the long run while constantly having a great tree year after year. An artificial Christmas tree requires little maintenance, doesn’t have all the pesky drawbacks of the real counterparts and never has to be thrown away. For some, having a real tree is what Christmas is all about. For others, however, they would rather not deal with the headaches that a real tree offers and would rather have an artificial Christmas tree in their living room on December twenty fifth.

Real Trees

A real Christmas tree can be a real headache if you’re not prepared for all that it brings. For one, a real tree needs to be kept in water to keep it healthy. With all the electricity that most people use on tree decorations, this can quickly become one volatile situation. A real Christmas tree also sheds. This can leave pesky needles all over your house that hurt when you step on them. Not to mention that they can jam up your vacuum cleaner and just make a big mess. Real trees also give off sap that can become stuck on furniture, clothing and carpet. Sap can also get caught in pet’s fur if your pet gets too close. All of these hassles make for a very troubling Christmas, say many. For them, they would rather have an artificial Christmas tree.

The Ease of the Artificial Tree

An artificial Christmas tree never sheds, never needs to be kept in water and will never leave anything on your living room floor. Artificial Christmas trees come in a variety of shapes and styles so there’s definitely an artificial Christmas tree out there to suit you. With real trees, you might have to search to find the right one. With a real tree, you have to rely on what nature has provided. With an artificial Christmas tree, you can pretty much select any style you want.

An artificial tree, once Christmas time is over, simply disassembles and goes right into storage with your other Christmas decorations. Then, next year, all you have to do is pull it back out and put it back together. You get a beautiful tree year after year and never have to worry about pine needles, sap or worry that your electrical cords are next to a big bowl of water.

An artificial Christmas tree is definitely the way to go to avoid all the headaches real trees offer. Christmas time is stressful enough to most without having to worry about maintaining a real Christmas tree. This year, go with an artificial Christmas tree and go through the holidays mostly worry free.
