A Guide to Sending a Corporate Christmas Card

Chucky Anderson

Many businesses send a corporate Christmas card to customers or associates as a way of touching base with them and letting them know they appreciate the relationship. Each business or group of individuals can send a personalized corporate Christmas to suit their businesses’ needs and personalities.

Who Do We Send Them To and What Should We Send?

Generally you should send a corporate Christmas card to those businesses you have had dealings with over the year. For some corporations that could mean thousand of people. If that is the case, you need to make some decisions about who you will send them to.

Often if you have made quite a bit of money with a certain client or they have given a donation, you should send them a Christmas card as another way of letting them know you appreciate their support and assistance.

If you have too many cards to send out, and they can’t be done in the office, you can contract the work out. There are places that will address and mail the cards for you for a fee. You will have to get them a list of who you want cards to go out to, but that is often all that you need to do.

There are a plethora of different Christmas cards out there. You can choose from a wide variety of designs and personalization. You will need to decide what sentiment you want the cards to express and how you want to express that sentiment.

You will also want to pay attention to the sentiments expressed in the card. You may have some associates who happen to be Jewish or Islamic and you will need to take that into consideration as well. You may want to choose a sentiment that expresses joy during the holiday season instead of Merry Christmas!

Often you can order cards from companies either locally or through the mail. They have the cards printed with your personalized signature and then ship them to you for mailing. These may seem a little impersonal, but usually there is no way to sign them all individually since there are often hundreds of cards to be sent out.

Sending out corporate Christmas cards is a good way to touch base with your clients or associates and let them know you are thinking of them during the holiday season. It also can leave a good impression on your clients or associates. They will know that you thought of them and cared enough to send them a greeting for the holidays.
